The Other Hand

(I'm a sucker for fairy tales)
I am too young to feel this old
Swollen from love misunderstood
There is a pain that won't let go
The sign says that it is all good
Eye of the storm blows off the doors
This broken hearts been shattered
I'm starting over from the shore
Glass bottle's in the water
We are evolving
And reinventing
In time resolving
To find the other hand
I feel you out there somewhere close
Looking up at the slivered moon
And I refuse to just accept
That I might never know love's true
So walk your boots on over here
And slowly tip your floppy hat
I'd like to look up in your eyes
And taste the sweetness of your kiss

That this will all make much more sense someday...

Trying

I was running on pure emotion
Jump then look for a place to land

So reactive, a nuclear plant
Now here I am

When sunshine meets moonlight
The sparks fly in moments
They hang while in the distance
But then they separate...
Like sleep and play
The yin and yang

He won't fall from the stars
She won't fan out the flame
He's got demons to chase
She cant give up her faith

When sunshine meets moonlight

She knows life needs night
Darkness craves the rays
Can they love while apart
Shining in different ways?

Move the heart beat of the ocean tide
As a Grandpa holds a baby child
In forgiveness as the souls align

Through the night
